Terra Matter: Functional Ceramics at Gallery360

This is a preview of work that I will have at Gallery360 in Lancaster, PA for the Month of December. Stop by the First Friday opening on December 7th from 5pm-9pm.
Tellus360, 24 East King St., Lancaster, PA 17602

Returning to Lancaster this Fall, this body of work is my response to living and working here for the past few months. This is the city where I began my career as a professional artist, a city rooted in history, and a place that continues to give me inspiration.

Exploring the city with my camera is a pastime I began over ten years ago when I first returned to Lancaster. Capturing images of architecture, streetscapes, and people often leads to discoveries like the snuff factory behind Charles Demuth’s home.

Borrowing from these walks through the city, I have combined utilitarian forms with painted images of Lancaster to create functional ceramics that reflect this interesting and historic place.
